I'm not Mike, but I have one of those Schroth 4-point things in my car and it bolts into the rear seatbelt points. It's kinda nice because it has a buckle behind the seat so when I'm not autocrossing, I can easily tuck the belts away and use the back seat for storing tires. I can take some pictures if you want better details.

With good race seats I didn't feel the need for harnesses. Prior to race seats, I would have loved a good harness!! The car has some incredible corning G's with Hoosiers.
We are installing a diff, clutch, and making DIY aero this winter. That's enough changes for now.
Since I'm missing racing and I'm sure you are too (those of you in the states that experience winter at least), here's a video of our last autox of the season.

I am coming from driving a CSP Miata the last two seasons with just a lap belt in a Kirkey that was too big for me... so seats that fit plus a 3 point seat belt feels amazingly secure to me! LOL
I'm on a budget so I'm just going for the biggest bang for the buck modifications (and Penskes used up most of the budget!). I can live with the stock steering wheel and seat belts for a long time probably.

With a Kirkey in an e36 (and a relatively well fitting kirkey), still very invaluable to do a harness. Just too much shifting and bending with the Allumnimum. STX G's are also not DSP G's, so maybe I'll hate it even with great harnessing.

CG-lock is a decent measure if you have stock seats and belts.
Question to the ppl with race seats.. What did you do about the side airbag? From past searches it seems most people plug in a resistor and call it a day.

Well, I was going to say remove it but I forgot there were airbags in the a and c pillar. Not to mention the passenger bag. I believe I will be going the resistor route. I wish we could remove them. I don't like running with them there...

Very nice Tamra. What clutch is that?
Let's talk wheel studs. I haven't seen anyone having problems with the factory but I'm probably going to need them for the wheel/spacer arrangement I will end up with. The only ones I can find are the Mazdaspeed in 2.5" and 3.25" flavors. Any opinions?

Here it is all put away (I know my car is dirty!):
This is the left side belt threaded through the seat. You can see that the right side shoulder belt adjuster needs to be assembled:
And then clipped into the straps in the backseat:
And here it is all put together:

Thanks for the pictures.
You might want to reconsider where the belts are mounted in the rear though. General rule is any downward angle greater than 20° can lead to injury in an accident.

Yeah, these belts are for restricting movement while autocrossing, not for crash safety so I never use them outside of autocross. If I was going to track the car with a harness, I'd get a cage first.

Does an S2 Diff Carrier bolt straight up to an S1?
My Search-Fu here is weak, first results i found confirmed an S1 Carrier would mount to S2, but would need an S2 mounting bracket.
Just curious if it's part 19 or part 20 that Sipe was referring to...

Amazingly, I found a picture online where those parts are already circled in red:

#19 Are the points I position the jack stands under.
#20 is labeled bracket, differential.mounting
They look pretty different between S1 and S2 but I don't know if it's the subframe or the diff carrier that changed.
