My 8 has its roll cage.
It's really a work of art. I love it. Apart from adding the cage and seat mounts Nick (Nickson motorsport) also has put a support tube that supports the underside of the front leg. this also ties into the bracket which holds the door closed so very strong. he has also modded the brackets so they are now welded to the cage/body so the door shuts as normal.
Cage spec.
x doorbars, a pillar gussets, turret supports, harness tubes, x rear diagonal, hoop diagonal, hoop brace,

The design is pretty similar to OMP's one, the OMP should reach the shocks as well but modifying the dashboard is a pity. Modifying it so that it doesn't always rattle is just stupid. Your extra reinforcements look nice.
If the seat is still too high you might also consider modifying the floor

thanks for the comments.
The seat is in a good position for me as I am only 5ft7. That's why it's mounted so far forward.
Can't wait to have the car finished now. :D

The OE wheel felt good but because it's fixed it made getting in and out the car near impossible.
I've now fitted my Nardi steering wheel and snap off boss which made the wheel too close so i have tilted the seat back and now it is better. it's a bit close still but makes me sit right back in the seat as I usually lean forward when driving. So really it's just right when I'm strapped in.

I noticed a huge difference in the stiffness of my car with the addition of a roll bar. Mine stays behind the front seats and was a big improvement, I imagine this would be an even greater improvement for chassis rigidity!
Roll bars tend to be roughly 40lbs so I assume a full cage would be ~60lbs or so...
