You guys are funny.....no ego...........I leave it at home when I go to the track. Otherwise I couldn't help laughing at the mustang guys that can't seem to drive.
The brakes worked great.....no fade at all on a track that is very hard on brakes. A lot of the stock cars were fading really bad after about 15 minutes. The nice EDP coating didn't last long though
It is burnt off of the rotor ring pretty good. The course was very well run. I was impressed by the caliber of the instructors and I learned a lot.
Next one is Apr 3........I should have the rear rotors on by then
The HP+ pads are great on the track...but they suck badly on the street. They are really loud. I sound like a decrepid Civic down to the pad squeelers Going to order some other pads....and suggestions for street pads HPS? or Some of the new Ceramic pads thet Hawk has come out with?? I will swap them for track days so i guess I just want quiet

Team, I assume that's your car with the slotted/drilled rotors? If so, why did you decide to go with drilled?
Also, I was looking on Racing Brake's site yesterday and noticed the new listing for the Enkei's, pretty cool they made that accomodation. I was already planning to get the RP-F1's, but that just pushes me closer to them than before.

I wanted maximum weight reduction, the RX-8 brakes have all the braking power I need for my application so reduced surface area is not a concern, granted it's minimal to the point of being ****, but given the intro price I just went for it because it was there
in the scheme of things it's no big deal either way, a little bling goes a long way with me 
I tried to get them to provide drilled + their patented drilled slots, no go ...

Holy Sh-t! Now that they're bedded in good the RacingBrake front BBK and rear 2-pc rotors are kicking @ss, better than I had even hoped

I did not pop for the two piece, bought the sport one piece, but your right about the improvements

for those who choose the RacingBrake BBK Enkei wheel option for the RX-8 and want to keep their brake shields (per the rules or just because) there are some slight modifications required to provide clearance for the new caliper mount and keeping the disc from rubbing. Otherwise you can push the outer edges back for more airflow/clearance.
note: This pic is from the initial RX-8 BBK prototype testing. The production caliper mounts are fine finished in black, The std RX-8 BBK also requires trimming the small corner off the heat shield, but not the flattening. The Enkei wheel BBK option has more inboard offset to provide clearance between the caliper and the Enkei RPF1 18 x 9.5 wheel
