Hauling autox tires

How feasible is it to get 4 tires into the car?

Does anyone make a trailer hitch for the 8?

4 tires in the back seat is no problem (have done it with 245/35-18 Hoosiers, 275/30-18 Hoosiers and 245/35-18 Kumho V710s).

After seeing how full the car was for this Houston trip, I think John and I might be happier with a hitch and trailer though. We'll find out next week on the Atlanta trip.

I can fit 4 285/40's Pirelli Slicks in the back seats. It's no problem. I was thinking of getting a trailer hitch and tire trailer, but now I've changed my mind since the tires fit well.

I drove to my first event with my trailer/hitch. It was MUCH nicer to deal with a trailer than stuffing the tires in the back.

Got a picture of that? What kind of trailer did you use?

As for a trailer, a uHaul 4x6 or 4x8 would be fine for about $10/day.

Sorry, I'm a total n00b...I was still giddy over the excitement of having my new 8 and wanted everyone else to do my work for me :D

yes, Keith, it's Bryan...I stumbled onto a deal last Thursday and couldn't pass it up. The local dealer had an 04 with nav as the only option. Mazda is giving dealers some nice incentives to move the 04's so I was able to take it for $23,900 (sticker $29,200, invoice $26,900).

I ordered some 275/35R18's from R&S Racing's fire sale of A3S04's on Friday...likely ordering some wheels today.

See you in BS in Atlanta!

Bryan

Nice to have you on board Bryan! Going to be a fun year after reading the Houston results. I'm only doing the Atl Pro... and we just need one more (YOU) to make a class. Michael Snyder signed up with an MR2 Turbo.

Would be nice not to get bumped.

Barring the unforeseen, I'll be your class-filler...I can't wait. I'm only doing the Pro as well...and hopefully a couple others if this one goes fairly well.

There's actually a possibility that Aaron will co-drive with me too...he's trying to get the engine of his Celica put back together after blowing it up at VIR...if he can't put humpty back together again in time, he'll probably be in BS with us.
