Ga RX 8 club with NASA SE at Road Atlanta

Next w/e our club will have a cap of the season event with NASA SE at Road Atlanta.
We have come a long way in the years we have been together.

This year one of our founding members will win the NASA SE regional TTD championship with his 100K mile RX8. Another member will also be on the podium. Its the 1st time an RX8 has won in this area.
We will have 2 big ole RV's (the really nice type--like pro teams have!), at least 8 cars on track, and approx 4 of us will be instructing.
Heck one of our instructors was drafted by MVP to be there chief instructor for their RA event in Nov.
We are making plans to do an 8 hr enduro race next year.
Like I said, we have come a long way in 5 years we have been together.
Sorta proud of the club.
Stay tuned for vids and pictures.

Saturday--noon and evening (before/after banquet).
All provided--bring beverage of choice. We will be on the hill at 10A with warm tent etc--
I will be driving Saturday and Sunday. Get in the right seat and lets hoop and holler a little--if you have time.
you know my car will have about the same power/weight ratio as the new car yall are building .

I'll be bringing a bunch of our used 17" 235 Toyo 888's and some used Hoosiers if anyone wants them. $100 a set. We probably have 10 sets of rubber with less than 5 hours on each of them. First come gets the pick of the litter.

i cant use 17's (running 18's now) but everyone else does and I am sure they will go fast.
i will put the word out. Some are also looking for some brake pads-- For next year starting in feb.
You need an R3 to play with?? I have a salvage one that runs perfect and no body damage.

What a great event in so many ways. The Georgia RX-8 Club is definitely one of the best in RX-8 groups in the U.S., not just because we have a great track group but because it has assembled a fantastic group of people and it continues to grow and add new members. We bring drivers from other types of cars because we encourage our students to join in with us and try to stay in touch. Our instructor group is well know with NASA-SE and we branch out to many different organizations. The friendships developed with us are key to this group and it just keeps building every event. Anyone wanting to participate in a true life long meaningful organization should think about joining us sometime to see what we are all about. I promise, you will never forget and will want to come back to join in.

As for my title this year... 2010 NASA-SE TTD Points Champion I will be wearing a smile for a long time.

olddragger, you missed one hell of a weekend long party. Hope you get the car in order and over the issue soon. It wasn't the same without you.
