It didn't take long for the import boys to reach 200 mph. I don't understand why the big NHRA Pro-Stock guys give them credit.

Doesn't Ibarra run an insanely-built 20B?

Mazda Sport Compact Nationals

http://www.nhrasportcompact.com/2004...nation1results

Sunday - ENNIS, Texas

Results for Final Round

ENNIS, Texas - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 3 eliminations in Pro RWD at the NHRA Summit Sport Compact Drag Racing Series, Mazda NHRA Sport Compact Nationals:
W/L Driver RT ET Speed

(W) Matt Hartford (Summit Racing '04 Cavalier) 0.057 13.813 62.71
(L) Abel Ibarra (K&N Filters '04 RX-8) -0.141(R) 8.194 166.44

The last race of the day here at the Mazda Sport Compact Nationals features the K&N Filters triple rotor Mazda of Abel Ibarra. The track temp is over 133 degrees, this should be an intersting final!
Ouch!! Ibarra drove away, but had the dreaded redlight start - Hartford got out of shape on the launch and lost power very quickly, but a win is a win!

That's it from the Motorplex, congrats to the winners, see you in St. Louis in two weeks! 5:21 p.m.
