Nothing good to report. Decided to put my spare tranny in the Thursday evening because shifting was getting difficult. Took it out for a hardship lap yesterday morning and everything felt great. Got a good start, picking up 3 places and was running down two more but when I came out of oak tree and went for 4th - shifter hit a wall. Spent the rest of the race with 3rd and 5th gears, except when I occasionally had 4th and 6th gears. Disappointing.
Should have spent a test session with that tranny but it looked brand new.
That's racing I suppose.

Was that the one I sold you? If it was then I sincerely apologize for that. It was purchased from a member here doing a 3-rotor conversion and came out of his personal car. He claimed it was fine, but I had never used it either. Just had it my garage for a while.

It was a great week of racing this week with Mazda and the RX-8's. Alan didn't realize you were down in Ga. Heck. I'm in your neighborhood when I come down to Road Atlanta with AER (American Endurance Racing) in Feb. Will be there this coming year as well. not sure if I am going to bring the car or not.
Sorry to read about the bad luck at the runoffs.
I had the Blethen brothers in my car back in September at Summit Point. Finished 12th one day and 9th the next both days were 9hr enduros.
Anyway, as I become more and more immersed into the racing it's nice to see all the RX-8's out there.
