The SpeedSource boys are looking good in the RX-8... I look for the 69 car to be even quicker as the drivers get familiar with the new car.

well that was the best 5 bucks i have spent in a while.... 83 deg perfect weather... able to walk up to anything you want... fla sux!

did not see any times from today, but the 69 looks damn fast...

on a side note.. the 350z in gt sounded like rice... the exhaust note was really really ugly..

Hopefully someone can get some sound from the 69 GT car. A good friend of mine was working on exhaust design and construction for that on behalf of Mazda.

Sweet, now let's get some audio up at rpms.

 

We only did the first session on Saturday so we could get a head start going home. We were in garage number 1 beside the I-Moto team. Most of the competitors were extremely nice.

My son and I had a GREAT time and ran well considering the prep level of our car(Bolt ons). We were easy to spot as it was the only car that still had street tags on it.


I ran a low 2:17 lap in the last session. the fastest time in our class was a 2:10.
We have many items that should help us improve our times as I feel most of our deficit was powerer related.

 

Wow - I know nothing of this type of racing .
Just how does an RX8 beat a Porche GT3 ? Are those 8's turboed ?

i did not see any times, but the 118 rx8 looked very good..

The #69 car looks really good, I really like the rear fenders with those big fat tires. I hope they bring those cars to the Barber race this year, I was disappointed that they did not have it there in 2006. How much of the 24 hour race will be televised, I need to start making room on the DVR.

 

they are going to race the entire season they normally televised 10 to 12 hours
