AutoPower Roll Bar $350 local P/U NJ

This is an AutoPower Street / Strip roll bar that was originally made for a NON- sunroof RX-8. It was shorted 1.5” by a local welder and now will fit in ANY RX-8. It would be ideal for a non-sunroof 8 now because of the extra 1 ½”. You can find out more about it and why I have this in THIS thread
The bar was ordered UN-finished, I painted it black & it was never installed. I have all the mounting hardware and instructions. I will also include 12’ of black roll bar padding if you want it. If you can get one from AutoPower un damaged and correct it could take 2-3 months and cost over $550. You can have it for $350 local pickup only. I will assist the buyer with delivery within reason. I work near GSP exit 117 and live near GSP exit 80.

Based on the problems I had I wouldn't want to. The 2nd bar they sent was damaged during shipping. If I shipped this one and it also received damage I do not have the resources to take care of the buyer that AutoPower has. They charged me $150 to ship it freight. It weighs about 55 lbs, but do to its dimensions I do not think it can go UPS. I will look into UPS again and maybe require insurance. But for now I will try local P/U and will drive about an hour if that would help.

Free bump - I love my cage!

Unmodified in a sunroofed 8 though, so I suppose cutting it will make install easier!

I still have the bar, I would consider meeting you half way. Shipping this item is still a risk in my opinion.

I hear ya man. We met at LimeRock meet, remember? Unless I'm thinking of a different Expo..lol. But yeah I'll keep it in mind only because I was hoping to get the racing one instead of the street. Unless you can upgrade the street to the racing one somehow?

Never been to lime rock, maybe the Glenn or Pocono? A local welder would be able to make any desired changes to this bar.

Welder prices will be all over the place, the guy I used was semi retired and did all the work from his well equipped house. Welders looking for work on the side will be cheaper than shops.
