AudioLink iPod dock connection to Head Unit ($75 shipped)

Category: Accessories
Price: $75
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series II
Location (US State/Canada/Int): AL
Item Condition: Used

I have an older model AudioLink in my RX-8 that works flawlessly, but I no longer have my iPod so I don't really have a use for it. It is the older unit, so it doesn't charge the 3rd gen iPod touches or iPhone 3GS and above, however you can get a converter like this and it will work perfectly. It also has video output, but I don't have the nav system in my 8 so I never used that and can't advise how it works. Note that you have to have firmware version 9.55 or above for it to work in your 8. I believe it will also work for many other Mazda vehicles. $75 shipped in CONUS SOLD

Aiken, SC/Augusta, GA area if you want to pick it up. I have feedback from sales on a bunch of different forums in Heatware under mZimm and on ebay under mzimm822. Let me know if you have any other questions. PM or email mzimm22@gmail.com. If you want to call or text me to talk about it since I haven't made any trades on here the number is 803-386-1812

Does this play on the headunit or is it an Aux?

This plugs into the external CD changer port on the headunit and plays music from an iPod using the iPod dock connector. You can also control the iPod using the steering wheel and head unit controls.

I believe as long as your head unit is at least firmware version 9.55 it will work. I'm under the impression that both the base and the bose have the same external CD changer port on the back. I can confirm it works for the base though, I don't have a Bose system.

I needed a driver's side sun visor and ended up finding both of them for about the cost that it was to get one from anywhere I could find, so I have a spare passenger side sun visor. I can get pics this weekend, but it is in very good shape, stock for an 04. My understanding is that the airbag label is slightly different for the 06 and later models, but it would fit them fine. On most parts sites and ebay these go for $100+, I'll take $65 shipped in CONUS.

Is the passenger side sun visor still available?

Can you post a few pictures of it? Mine is starting to break, so if I cannot fix it I'll need to buy a new one.

Alright I am going to try to see if I can fix my visor tomorrow and if I can't I'll send you a PM to let you know that I need it.

I may be interested in the ipod dock, I use a fm transmitter and I hate it. Will it work with a Ipod 120gb classic? Its a newer ipod but it has the classic look and features, I wanted the space not the touch screen.

Thanks

Yeah my friend has an iPod 120GB that I've used with it before and it worked perfectly fine. This is much nicer than an FM transmitter; in addition to the cleaner sound you can also use the steering wheel and stereo controls.
