schnipster....its always a good idea to post pics of ANY expensive item....no one on this board knows you, no one has seen that these rims even exist, and if you didn't really need to sell them then you should change your thread to interest only. Obvisuly you want to sell them otherwise you wouldn't have made the thread. There have been A LOT of people scammed on forums like this one and its only common sense for someone to want to see pics, know the weight of the wheels, etc. Your argument about body kits and stereos is not valid in this case as you dont know why x person wants to buy these wheels.....maybe they want them for a track only set of rims. When I sold the parts off my car I had pics, and GLADLY asnwered any question anyone had. Do yourself a favour and post some pics or a link to pics and weigh one of the wheels......people can go find the weight of the tire and do the math. your shooting yourself in the foot by not doing this and responding they way you are to things.....from what I have read in this thread you could have had 4 potential buyers already...... and from experiance and having tried to sell much nicer rims the the stock 40th edition rims and for less it takes a long time to sell rims. I mean this is a good deal and pics would just help you out. there is always going to be some one who asks a not so smart question but you have to remember before you respond that people tend to remember the bad a forget the good. So if you come across as an " *** " as you say, then people wont deal with you no matter how good a deal this is.

https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-parts-sale-wanted-44/how-post-pictures-updated-june-2015-a-164860/ Always read the stickies. You could get a scale from walmart and then take it back right after? Post office?

I've gotta back schnipster on the weight thing. As we know, the RX-8 was designed with consideration to relatively lightweight wheels. There's no reason the designers would have gone with heavier wheels on the 40th Ed., so no real need for a weigh in (although a nice courtesy).
Pictures should be provided however.

The degree of lightness could be a swaying point for some people. If one weighs 22 lbs like the other stock rims, then you would only be buying looks. If it weighs 18lbs then you would be buying looks and losing weight. Lighter wheels aren't only good for going faster, but they also make the car ride smoother.

Hey guys...leave this dude alone. He can't weigh or take pics of what he doesnt have. I mean, everybody these days has a digicam and a bathroom scale...so that isn't it. But not everyone has rare wheels. Food for thought.

schnipster,
If you have the pics on a camera and can't get them to your computer, see if you can locate a USB cable that fits both. Most computers detect cameras successfully as "removeable storage"
If you have them on your computer, and can't figure out how to post them, try making a FREE account at http://www.photobucket.com. You can easily upload images to Photobucket. From there, copy the URL link for the pic(s) that have the [ IMG ] tags around it and paste it here in the thread.
There have been many scams here, and by refusing to provide information on what you are selling, no matter how irrelevant it seems to you, then it makes people wonder if you actually DO have the rims or if this is another scam. Anyone can type up any signature. It becomes significantly harder to fake a picture of 40th AE rims sitting in your garage with your screen-name on a piece of paper/cardboard sitting next to it.
No one is saying you don't have them, but no one is going to be willing to send you $1,500 without some level of confirmation that you do indeed have them. Peace of mind for the buyer. You say you aren't "dying to seel" the rims, so obviously the $1,500 would just be 'extra' cash. Surely even paying $9.99 for a disposable camera and $1-$4 for digital development, and a few minutes creating a Photobucket account is worth it to get $1,500.

Sir,
With all do respect. I drove into a local Mazda dealers lot the other day. Their lot was full of new 09's with this new style wheel. The wheels you have, have a touch more shin. The dealer also had two cars with the same wheels and one with dark 19" wheels. I'm sure within months the market will have MANY more sets of these new wheels for sale.
Also I weigh a set of 05 wheels at 21.5 lbs on a USPS scale.
You can stop by a US post office, FedEx / Kinkos, UPS / UPS store and weigh the wheels.
Good luck.
