Sent you a PM, but no answer.
Who/when are you putting it in?
I'd like to see this or possibly help if I'm around.

Hey man, you sent me a message on that new friend thread thing, and I responded. It's there somewhere, I'm not sure if I remember how to get back to it

We're doing the job at Juan's house in Lakeland on Friday at 8AM (hence the array of boom boxes playing smooth jazz 94.1 in the previous post).

edit:
ahh here it is: https://www.rx8club.com/members/bastage-6313/

[QUOTE=Bastage;2881261]We're doing the job at Juan's house in Lakeland on Friday at 8AM (hence the array of boom boxes playing smooth jazz 94.1 in the previous post).

Well tomorrow is the day for Bastage’s new flywheel and clutch. I just need to make a little room in my garage before tomorrow morning so we can get the 8 in.

Made it back safely from "Smooth Jazz" Juan's house. He did manage to clean out his garage, but the air was still polluted with ******** shriveling Smooth Jazz 94.1 FM.

The clutch engages much more quickly, and the flywheel is noticeable (since I have to give it more gas when going from a stop to keep from stalling).

I thought it was going to be extremely hard to drive this car like a grandma for the recommended 750 mile break-in period, but after listening to Smooth Jazz 94.1FM for about 16 hours in the last month, it should be pretty easy.

Pictures to come.

If you guys are serious about breaking 12.0 you need to study this video - this guy almost did it with less than 300hp
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...32860314480345

in particular - tyre sizes and watch his boost gauge

that guy had the same idea i did, i think. it definitely looks like he is using the spare tire rim as a skinny.

tire-wise:
2 spare tire rims (18x4) for skinnys
2 4 port auto rims (16x8) for drag radials

definitely a cheap way to go imo.

im surprised his 60 foot times werent in the 1.xx with drags though.

where did you get the adapter to remove the flywheel bolt?

Probably not for a while. I need to break the clutch in properly and the car needs a tune.

As far the the adapter, Juan had the one from Racing Beat from when he swapped his.

No special tool needed. Just buy or rent a 2 1/8" (3/4") drive socket and an electric/air 3/4" drive impact gun. It comes out like butter and no need to keep the flywheel from spinning. One quick 2 to 3 seconds burst and the nut comes loose. Use the same to reinstall with thread lock. Mark the position of the nut once is flush with the flywheel and then give it about 3 or 4 burst. The nut should spin almost a half of turn. That's all.

He is using modified OEM yellow injectors. I was using OEM auto blue injectors first which are OK or you can use 2009 P2 injectors for better spray pattern without retune.

I don't think I can recommend them after seeing that, especially since I politely asked the guy to take his time and be careful.
go to protech automotive in merritt island. it's north of the barge canal. i've had two set of wheels put on by them, and not a single scratch. he's very good.

first off Cam wont even sell you the pulley and injector upgrade until youve put significant miles on the base unit, thats just how he rolls,,,
Second the install is simple except for the rewiring of the harness,,,
That may be tricky for some, it was for me, so I had Moon do that part.... 2 day install, 1 day for tear down and prep, 1 day for install and flash,,,,

He wants you to become comfortable with the characteristics of the car and familiar with the kit first, Cams philosophy has always been slow and steady, power increases...
