Nice going Pblue glad to know the Autocross bug got a hold of you.

Not going to make it out there, I need to save at least one Sunday this month for my family

I will be at that rotary meet in Orlando on the 31st though, but only because I have to pick up my aunt there anyway.

Yea it was coincidence that we ended up 86 and 85.
85s just always been a number i liked. Also BS and 85 would be the same if i had made my magnets in the alarmclock style font like i thought i was going to. that is 8=B and 5=S if you look on a clock or old timey digital display. also i was born in 85.

but anyway, the autox in deland was cancelled. APPARENTLY theres a river running across the runway..... so you're off the hook. Have fun w. the family!

I bought a new camera last week and have been having fun with it. This is what an RX-8 looks like after a wash, claybar, another wash, and two coats of wax.

Thanks! I asked for the darkest legal tint possible, and here's what the law states in Florida:

Front Side Windows Must allow more than 28% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 15% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 15% of light in.

Very nice, what kind of wax?
Also... point of claybar is what? Water spots? I have spots that bug me, I jealous of your shine. I remember how shiny it looked in person when it was dirty...

also didnt realize your tint was legal. Looks good. Friend of mine got pulled in melbourne a few days ago for it and his dealer plate surround. Cops down there are mean.

Claybar removes all of the contaminants in your clearcoat, I think that includes waterspots. You can really see the difference, and probably more so on darker colors. Mostly though, you can feel the difference. To give you an idea, sliding your hand across the paint before and after is similar to sliding it across your face before and after shaving.

I bought the mother's claybar kit that comes with a small bottle of wax. I had bought the same claybar kit last year, but used a different wax then, so I had an extra small bottle of the wax. It took me about 1.5 of the small bottles to put two coats on the car.

If you want to keep your finish looking good I would do this at least once a year.

Tint is totally legal. Got it done in Orlando a few hundred miles after I bought the car almost 3 years ago.

Looking good mon...reminds me, I need to do mine soon! Think I still have the Mequire's kit.
At least I'm finally out of the cast and boot, however the foot does swell up and is still sore after a day of walking on it.
Also, yep..........we run the same tint...........he's legal! I used Sunstoppers and we have the same numbers.....not sure who Bastage used?

marsredr100 and I met up at Delirium Motorsports in Kissimmee this weekend to dyno our cars. I hit 281 rwhp (which is very close tot he 283 I hit at Pettit back in February) and marsredr100's velociy red hit 330 rwhp!

Anyway, here are some pictures:

Beautiful car - love the winning blues!

Do you have a mod list for Juan's car? How much more boost is he running over what you're running? Pump gas (93) or race gas? 330whp & 214wtq is impressive!

P.S. What I love about Juan's torque curve is that it's flat above 4,500rpms to redline. Perfect for autocross!

What does the red car have, a bigger pulley for more PSI????

What does he have to get that much power vs the other pettit owners.

check is vbgarage, I think he lists all his mods there. I think he was at like 9.6 psi on that dyno, and I barely passed 8 on mine, so basically you get 2psi more boost. Plus he has bigger injectors.

Premium pump gas.

I drove his car on saturday, and to make a long story short, I'll have this kind of power next month
