Personally, I think clear corners are like aftermarket Altezza lights, or carbon fiber hoods, or a lot of the other current styling trends. Someone started it to be different, and now everyone and their grandmother does it to make their car stand out, when in reality all they're doing is making their car look exactly the same as everyone else's. Individuality, indeed.

Put me down firmly in the "orange corners are better" category.

I put them on my black 8, it is the only cosmetic mod I have. Otherwise the car is stripped down, no spoiler, appearance package, nothing. I just think that the clear corners blend in with the black's lines better and make it more seamless.

I want the car to look stock, but I couldn't stand the orange. It is a small enough change that most will never notice. I also want the car to be a sleeper, though. I want it to 1/4 in the mid 12's, but not all the attention. Everyone will just assume it's a run of the mill, everyday 8.

I don't think that is a fair comparison. The clear corners ARE how the car was supposed to look, but due to state laws in some locations, they used amber in the NA cars. This isn't a mod to make the car look different, it's a car to rectify what random US laws have done to make the RX-8 look ugly.

I've always disliked the "import" look and before the 8 had never modded any car for aesthetics. However, the JDM markers match the silver 8 nicely.

BTW, non-amber bulbs are illegal in some states, but clear corners aren't (as far as I know).

According to D MENAC 7, it's a US DOT reg so it applies to all states.

what a stupid thing to say! the car does look how it is supposed to look! you dont live in japan smart guy! and no-one can even tel about cc unless you tel them. does the orange blinker bother you too? at least the orange actualy matches:D
