What's the deal with clear corners?
I keep reading on post after post about how somebody's 8 "needs" clear corners otherwise it just doesn't make it. What's the big deal with clear corners? Not only are they generally illegal, but to me they look anemic; I actually prefer the orange sidemarkers for the contrast they provide.
Does this thing for clear corners come from a movie or something? Why are so many so hot-to-trot for clear corners?

If you prefer the yellow corners, keep them. The clear cprners come with yellow bulbs, so you still get a yellow signal. Most people prefer them, but they won't kick you off the forum if you don't change.

The orange is OK on a couple colors, but I happen to think the clear corners look better on all of the colors. By the way, I've never seen (in person) another 8 with clear corners.

Clear corners ROCK!! The help take to lines of the 8 to the next level. Mine are on the way. The 8 is sold in the rest of the world (except Canada) w/ clear corners. I'm not sure why the US is different. Maybe a state or two has a law against them? Can't wait......

I agree with particular colors looking bad with the orange. I think the Blue is a terribel contrast with the clear. You can see them (orange) in my sig. They are clear now. (...note to self : gotta update sig ...)

Clear corners are perfectly legal... its the colour of the bulb that may cause a problem... so long as the bulb is amber, your fine just about anywhere you go. Not only that but the orange ruins the look of the car because it just just jive well with the body colour.... especially if you have certain colours like red, yella, blue..... the white of the clear corners gives the car a cleaner, fresher look

Stuck in a love triangle
I dontlike clear corners either unlesstheyre on Sunlight Silver or Black Rx8s.
I wonderwhat some of themwould look like if you painted themto match the exact color of the car. Probablywould look too clean

looks hella better with clear corners ... I know , I use to have a 8 without clear corners, and a highly modified 8 with clear corners, the one with clear corners definitely got more looks

I dunno, I dont like the whole clear corner approach on most cars. Thats probably because im into the whole black wheel, cf hood, amber lights look... its all preferences I suppose.
Whatever floats your boat~!
