its wasn't really a burn out, heck i didn't even mean to do it, i was new to driving a stick and dumped the clutch by mistake my bad.

i should of made it clear that i was talking about my sa not my 8. only cooments i got so far about my 8 is that people think its fwd or awd.

i got my rx8 last year in march i think its the nicest car out of any one i work with, almost every day when i go into work someone says " dude, i love your car, can i have it?" or i get " im so jealous of your car" alot

all the time i get the question of "what is it?"

when people ask what kind of engine it has im like a rotary it spins round and round instead of up an down. so many people are so confused i just say google it

 

What do you tell them its comparable to, a V6 or V8 or why not V12... Most people don't even know what I'm talking about when I tell them I don't have the same engine as theirs...

this is why I bought a rotar from a broken engine. This way when people ask, specially family, friend or neighbors I can just show them...

i miss people commenting on my car daily and asking dumb questions. happens less with the miata (but more then if I had a civic )

 

I've had a few people argue with me about the my 8 being FWD, some people just refuse to believe the truth.

 

A dude once came to me while I was parking my 8 at my job and says: "NICE CAR MAN... IS THIS THE NEW BMW? I was like wtf? then when I told him it was the new mazda with the rotary engine he said: BUT IS IT A 4 OR 6 CILINDER? once again I went wtf?

 

no one ever has confused my car, but i guess in cali 8s arent as rare

 

I was washing my car about a month ago and some guy was staring at me and then came up and said "before I kill myself trying to figure it out, What type of car is that?" lol I was like an RX-8 and he was like man thats awesome. But I will say that i live in TN and most people here dont get off the mountain much lol jk

When I was driving for some time in this car, a lot of people didn't know what the car is (read : no one), except the kids who know it from Need 4 Speed. The reactions of the car were incredible, people screamed, photographed, and some guy said : "I can't believe I am standing near the Ferrari" xD. Local racers, just ask what size the motor is, and when you say 1.3 L they just turn their heads, but when you push the pedal, they respect it

 

Just tell people it is a Kia and watch their expression as you drive away
