Have you ever been asked, "What is it?"

Well, this weekend while in Niagara Falls, NY; two different people asked this question.

So many people just stare and love my 8... Add your stories...

 

I used to get asked that a lot. now there are soooo many rx-8s in LA that it's obvious. heh...

at least i get tons of stares. haha

 

Blonde: What kind of car is tha?
Me: A Mazda Rx-8.
Blonde: Oh, I remember those when they were Datsuns.
Me: I think you mean an RX-7? maybe?
Blonde: Yeah a Nissan RX-7.

 

^^^ ha ha. thats true though. i had a little kid tell me he wanted a ferrari like mine. does that count?

 

...is that an EG (95 civic) with the Jspec front end conversion? do you have the ITB vtak's too? wow! that's so JDMtizzytyo!

 

The day i bought my car, actually when i was at the bank with the seller, standing outside by the car, a lady drove up and said it looked amazing and asked what kind of car it was. it made me feel really good about buying it.

 

people don't know what my car is, maybe its cus of the mint blue kit, they just look at me, the car, me, the car

then finally say, is it fast?

 

people used to ask me what kind of car it is, not anymore though.

these days, it's usually, "got any mods?"

The answer is, "Yes. all of them."

 

one of my friends still refer to my car was "the ferrari" even though i've corrected her many times, but ... i dont mind haha

 

many of them ask me what car is this, especially my car are full debagged front and rear. lol.

just tell them it's rx-8, dont ever mention it doesnt has any pistons, i think they will fainted.

Is that the new kind of engine? I just say yes and leave it to that. I also get a lot of,

"Wow! That's a nice car."

When I tell people it's an RX8 they say: "What?" Then I just tell them it's a Mazda!

 

so i was filling up my gas one time and this guy rolls up and asks if im rolling on 18's and im like, "no, they're 19's" and hes like "da amn" and rolls off.

i know its an impressive story.

 

I was in Montana at a Denny's and I was asked "Is that one of them new Porsches?" I replied with a "No, it's one of them new wankels." He just nods his head and smiles and I continued heading into the restaurant.

 

Oh... How could I forget... These young kids asked me if it was a race car. Gotta love it!!

 

All the time.

 

A bum sitting outside of subway in santa cruz told me that he liked my viper.

 

Always reply with "It's just a civic with a body kit". I debadged my RX7 FC and lots of people think it's a Porsche 924 or wathever theyre called.

I get asked the usual, "what kind of car is it?" from the ladies, and "is it fast?" from noobs.

tons of necks being broken though. i especially love seeing little kids point at my car and i can read their lips when they say, "look at the car" or "yellow car" haha. it's awesome.

 

my favourite : this guy is walking along the footpath looking at my car - he walks straight into a telephone pole and almost knocks himself out . Kinda reminded me of the old slapstick silent movies

 

a cholo asked me if my car was a viper

 

The misses and her friend were at the park when some young boys walked up to admire the car. They stopped and asked about it, as they walked off one told his friends he'd heard those cars can go over 200 mph.

 

4 people... 1 this guy who is dating my gfs mom knew it was a mazda but not that it was an 8.
2.an old lady thought it was a benz and she went on telling me she has a 60's benz with 15k on it thats when i burst her bubble and told her it was a mazda
3.sister inlaw's mom... i was sanding my emblems to paint and she asked it those were benz emblems
4. friends bf... didnt know what car it was i told him and he asked if it was a v6 or v8.... i told him it was rotary and he was like o so its a 4banger... ha no so i had to explain it to him....

 

ick, not really a compliment if they called it a 924. Those were teh suq.

 

Once I had a cop pull up beside me at a light and asked "What kind of Porsche is that" I just smiled and told him it was a Shinka... He said damn I picked the wrong job. Light changed, I honked and rolled off. I Love it when people ask eventhough I try to be modest.

"Damn, thats tight"!!!! "Is it fast?"...I smile and say "She'll move a little bit"

 

ya i get that all the time with my rx7 and now my rx8 its fun to have the attention
