U would not believe this!!!!
Yes the squirrel was alive!!! It prolly made the nest yesterday while I was at work but who knows it could have been longer. The reason I checked today s becuz one of my coworkers who parked next to me told me that a squirrel chewed up his wires. So when I checked my hood this morning this little rodent showed up and schoked the hell out of me. Then we called animal control and by the time they got there the squirrel was gone from the nest. Just to be sure of myself I drove the car around the block and got some gas then I popped my hood again and that little rodent was still in there hanging by my washer fluid. I tried to get it out but it got scared and crawled even deeper to my car by the transmission. So after I got my gas I drove the **** out of my car to try and scare it away. When I got back to work, I didn't see it again so I'm assuming I killed it or its still hiding somewhere down there. As of 5:30PM CST there is no sign of any squirrel activity in my engine bay. You cant make this stuff up!!!! LOL
You know I never thought of this until now but that could have been what those noodles in my intake were from since the lady before me stored the car every winter.

Here we see a member of the sciurida family, enjoying a nap in it's natural habitat, the Mazda RX-8. These magnificent creatures have been known to make homes in the most unusual places...
Found 2 dead baby squirrels in my engine bay today.. along with my firewall lining completely chewed. 2 grounds broken. And 2 CEL's relating to my Atmos Sensor because they had chewed through that harness too.

Here I already repaired the atmos pressure sensor..
