It was a blast! My instructor took me for a ride in a spec miata and holy crap

Too bad I was the only 8 out there. But there was a red FD in another group and a sick RX3 on trailer for the race on the weekend. I wanted to go back to see it race but just too busy with the kids.

 

Nothing like running on the track so you should definitely do it! The lip is more noticeable now that I added a another scrape pulling out of my garage

Next year we need to get a NW track day meet. The car club let several us from my work all be in the same run group which made it a lot of fun.

 

Looks like a lot of fun, just zip-tie that lip and go back. What bumper you looking at?

 

No zip ties for my car man Actually it is still securely attached to the car and I'm driving around with it now. As for the bumper, anything that around $900 (insurance money). If I can not repair the lip then I will may apply the insurance money towards a bumper and then get another lip for the OE bumper and use it for track days.

great pics and looks like a cool track event. I love all the elises/exiges. favorite car ever. hands down. i've only ever tracked with a hole bunch of other 8s. it must be weird being able to corner better than alot of the cars on the track, but having to watch them take it right back on every longish straight.

BTW, isnt it just awesome when you shoot flames? i used to go to the track catless and man was that awesome. still make flames after a long day at the track with a cat, but nothing like actually being catless. every time you downshift. Pop! haha. had it a few times where it was more of a whoosh sound with the pop and that appearantly meant big flames. haha. oh how i miss the track...gearing up for winter sucks!
