The RX made a new friend this summer while out in Wisconsin! My buddy picked up a 370Z and they had to part ways today for the summer. Nothing fancy, I have a regular ol 10megapixel camera, but I had to document the occassion.

yeah pretty much. Not sure of the actual name Nissan uses but it has the "mica" and everything. The colors went well together.

 

i prefer white 370z......

 

The more I see it, the more the "z" in the wheels grows on me...

I love the new z car.

 

if you get a chance to drive one do it! The clutch synchro's are pretty sweet. It takes some getting used to, you dont have to rev match! The first few times you downshift and the engine automatically spins up its sort of frightening.

 

Lol, I want to get behind the wheel of one. I can only imagine tha would freak out most people.

Does it make downshits seam completely seamless? Or just kind of ease them? I cant imagine it would hit the RPM's dead right, I am curious though, that trans is somewhat ingenious, even if it only took their computer engineers a few lines of coding to do lol.

 

its mostly seemless. when you downshift and take your foot off the clutch there's no pull from the engine. Its just like if you know your 8 and have a good feel for rev matching and nail it. Its like having a second accel pedal in your stick. You can essentially control your engine speed with the stick within the range of the gears you pop into without taking your foot off the clutch. its like having a negotiator in your transmission:-)

i think im the only person in the world that doesnt love the look of the 370s i just cant stand that front. but i like the VR, nice pics

 

I also dislike the look of both the 50 and 70 z's.

Then again I love the look of the new front's of the 8's!

But than I like the 09 RX8 even better, because I have one.

 

nice 370. much better than the 350.

 

Otherway around, 350>370 by fay. The new front looks so ghey, and the nismo makes me want to puke. Looks like some 18yo designed the front on a video game.

 

I like the new 370 much more than the 350. I wish the 8 had the power of the new 370.

 

Pics of the 370 just dont do it justice. On here it just looks awkward, but Im really feelin them in person.

 

I think the 370 looks okay, but actually I am just relieved. Based on the title I opened this thread fearing some sort of a brokeback mountain type discussion.
