wow that looks cool! im into CF when its done right, but i think you made the right decision by matching everything(going painted) instead of just having CF
the black mesh painting was a big improvement, in fact i was considering that exact hood and i was going to paint it black if i had got it. i plan on importing an odula racing hood instead because it will go w/ my bodykit better

Holy **** that is clean. I honestly felt you should have left it like it was, but now after seeing the end results there is no doubt in my mind you made the right move. Now I want one....damn you!

Black with CF is a pretty obvious choice for CF hoods... it flows with the colors. If you have other cars, the flashy colors works nicely with CF materials too. It's all a matter of preference. I think Red is one of those colors that would work ok with CF theme... So would Black, Blue, Titn. Grey. If you go with Yellow with CF, hope you have other things around the car that is also CF to blend it in better... it looks out of place otherwise. Silver is a so-so color to leave as CF. White is pretty blah to leave it CF... looks really out of place. Green RX-8... hmmm would work, but most of the owners are in their 40-50s and would looks pretty bad for someone of that age driving around with a CF hood.

Now you've done it Mike.... hmmm maybe just one more mod for mine... LOL
Seriously thought, that is spot on! I love it.
So so so so so glad you painted it - I know nobody likes my decals, but I don't like the CF look - each to their own - but yeah, that looks so much better painted - emphasises the vents perfectly.
Love the line running from the side vent pointing at your Gandors.
Another spot on mod Mike

The hood looks great both ways! One question though, since it seems you have a red and black theme going would you consider painting the strakes and fuel door black and getting black rims to finish it off? I think it would look hot like that

anyone care to photoshop^^^^^^^^
I dont plan on doing that
in that case I could have left the hood, mirrors and spoiler carbon fiber since initally there were carbon

But as long you like yours, that's all what matters

a carbon fiber hood on a nordic green would be probably be the nastiest thing in the world. and how would silver be a so-so color with carbon fiber? silver is one of the best cars along with black to have carbon fiber on. and white cars look awesome with carbon fiber and black rims. silver and white contrast great with the dark grey/black look of carbon fiber and paired with a wing or trunklid and gunmetal rims it looks great. and i won't even comment on the yellow/cf theme, its almost as bad as green.
