My vote is to paint it. To me CF just looks like a replacement part that you couldn't afford to have painted, so you just put it on anyway. I can't stand it.......but apparently everybody else on the planet just loves it so oh well. To each their own.

in person, it is obvious that it is not an unpainted part. The other day I saw an S2000 with a full CF body kit, not my taste, but it definately did not look like the guy could not spend the bucks to get it painted.

I would say to Paint it Mike. If your Eyelids Trunk and Spoiler were CF it may look better, but I am feeling that the Painted VR would really make the lines and vents really snap out. IMO!

Another great option for carbon fiber is to put some red pearls in a clear and spray it. It keeps the look of CF but add a mild tint to blend better.
My friend did it on his car and it looks amazing.
Nice Hood mike! I want one myself. How much was shipping?

Keep it CF... looks good on Red. Nothing wrong with that. Besides, Mikeb is a youngin, not no old person... he can look pimp in his ride without looking silly.
If he was a 60 year old man fixing his ride with CF, then ya, paint it red.

glad to see you finally got your hood. Good choice. Glad, also, to see that there is a local vendor that can get parts for us quickly.
If you leave the cf alone, you may find yourself contemplating new rims.......so you may want to get it painted.

Instead of taking daytime pics I drove the hood over to hertiage mazda in Huntington beach to get painted red. They painted my mirrors red and my mintblue spoiler red and I just decided might as well paint the hood red so everything matches.

Sorry I don't like Carbon fiber. The vents look practical.
Looking forward to seeing it. Funny thing is things look different in person.
If I like it in person I may decide to buy one and get it painted.
