Fantastic

THIS picture is the BEST argument against ANY street RX8 blowing money on slotted or drilled brake rotors:

Does make a good argument. I may be wrong but I think the rules state they have to use stock? I asked about the pads and was told they were a Hawk HP pad but did not get specifics.

Great job, btw - what make of camera/lenses do you prefer?

The idea is, if those guys - driving THAT fast, can 'make do' with OEM Rotors, EVERYONE* else can too...unless they just want more rotating mass and bling!

* Everyone = ~97% of owners. 3% probably drive as hard as those guys...at least on occasion

dmp... this image is of a "spent" rotor taken off of the #66 Speedsource car. The mechanic handed it to WhiteTop to take home. They don't wait till they use it up to install new ones.

Those rotors can't be stock...I don't see any rust!

Thanks dmp, I use a Nikon D70 but I'm gowing very tired of it's ability to "ERROR" right at the point the Acura's come around a hard turn with the back right wheel up in the air. Way too frustrating. I think it needs servicing and I'd just rather purchase a Nikon D200. When I get one I will be a very happy camper. The lense is a slow Nikor 80-400 ED VR but it does the job. I'd like to get one with more glass but purchasing the D200 would be the first step up.

EDIT:
For the close up shots I used a Nikor 28-200 AF. It's a nice lens for working in the paddock and around groups.

if you mean the round things sticking out, those are the fuel intakes, the points at which the fuel is put into the tank. The RX-8's still use the stock fuel tank, but have done a lot of work to it.

Good pictures as always silver.
