Smile My 2004 RX-8 Grand Touring

I recently bought a 2004 RX-8 GT and just thought I would show it off a little (I'm sure you guys have seen tons lol) but this one mine It's still all stock and it was 33k miles when I bought it. It 6spd manual all leather interior with titanium grey on the outside.

She is very fast, 2nd and 3rd are very peppy which is nice and I have to watch myself hitting 100-110'ish with no problem on the highway. Which is about halfway hitting the gas pedal so I know if I floored it, it would just keep going lol.

All around love the car so far, I was wondering what improvements I can make to this as far as performance upgrades? I don't intend to be racing at all but I am a little curious what the first thing someone would do to make it faster. I'm also looking into some nicer rims and tires, stocks are still on.

Bascially I would be looking into increasing the horsepower, I might down the line look into body kits and wings but I'm not sure yet. Thanks for any comments.

congrats and welcome to the club bro ... now let the mods begin ... as for the performance the only thing that really makes a difference is FI most other mods will not make a tremendous difference ... also a cobb ap is a great idea

What is FI and what is a cobb ap? Sorry for being noobish, just don't know the terms. Thanks again and thanks for all the welcomes!

Forced induction (turbo or supercharged). The 8 isn't a car that you can easily mod for more horsepower. Suspension mods and wheels are a good place to start though.

Car looks very clean, btw, will look great with a few mods.

Question

Ok, after some looking around I think the first things I want to do is get some fender strakes and if they will fit these two side skirt things. Not sure what they're called but I love how they look. What are these and will they fit my model? 2004 GT MT all stock. Thanks for all your help.

Oh nice! Yeah those look good man, can you link me to where you got yours? I agree they look good. Even the rear sides alone look good, do the small triangular ones go behind the rear tires? How much did you pay? And thanks.

I cant remember where i saw it but in another thread someone mentioned this ebay seller, i paid $100 each for both rear and side sets so $200 total, best deal ive seen yet so i went for it. the name of the ebay seller is azpartsexpressonline, not a fan of ebay myself but couldnt pass the price for new oem parts.

He didnt have my color listed, but if you just send him a message he'll prob have it, he jsut doesnt have a listing for every color.

(sorry cant remember, but im not sure if i am supposed to link ebay listings, if not can a mod please remove these, I do not know the seller i jsut came accross it)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...8430&viewitem=

and

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-05...item1c12832299

ps. yes the triangle piece goes right behind the rear wheel

i jsut noticed it lists shipping price, i was not charged shipping so i guess im not sure on that lol
