My New RX8

Hello all. I just got this on Friday. I bought it from one of my customers. 07 with 3500 miles on it. yes, that's not a misprint, 3,500 miles. I really like this car so far. I had a 1991 Nissan 300ZX as my last sports car and got rid of that about five years ago. This thing just ROCKS.......

I still cannot think what I should do about the rims? I'm pretty certain they shouldnt stay stock but the stormy blue is such a funny colour, it's so awesome by itself, what colour rims?

I am thinking Dark Gunmetal and the Red Caliper Paint ?

or Black and the Red Caliper Paint ?

And what about the shift ****, why cant us Manumatic people get cool leather looking shifters..... with boots too :D

Thanks buddy , glad u liked it... The dealer chucked them(f/mats) in, after all the $$$$ i paid on the interior ....i think there a mazda option/extra here in Australia... And yes mate, i did get custom leather completed prior to taking delivery of my car, thru Mazda's Professional Upholstery Place here in OZ.... If you want to check out more piks of the interior, here is the thread I started in the Interior section .

cheers mate , here in Australia the rims are called XHP Boost(although prob re-named in parts of the world)....and yes have been a fan since i had them on my last VR8....although i decided to wack them on, even though i have future plans for black SSR Pro II or something similar...And when i do, the vents will go...but for now i sort of like them, as it makes the side profile stand out a little. Although appreciate ur comments of course , and know it comes down to personal preference...

Cheers,

Here's an update:
The finished pics of my car:

Turned out better than I initially thought it would. I sanded the calipers with a B&D mouse sander to smooth them out a little bit before I painted them.

I think Stormy Blue with a lip spoiler, clear corners and some tasteful, dark rims would be the best looking of all RX8 models. I saw one today in person at the dealer, and even 'stock' it looked amazing. They already had piles of magazines advertizing the newer, 09 models, and I was quite saddened by it. Standing next to the 08 Stormy Blue, I felt I was standing next to a last one of the great, an amazingly beautiful model that was created and destroyed in a few short years. But, then, I will cherish owning a classic, for many years to come.
