Oh to be young again. Throw $7,000.00 on a SC for an 8 to make it equal to a 370?
Just because we own the cars doesn't mean we have to be unrealistic. Performance wise, the 370Z is better, it's as simple as that. I have been ripped apart by a 350 Nismo and getting passed when you have your foot to the floor is not fun.
But it is what it is, If I wanted a Nismo I would have one.

A super base model 370z on a track against a loaded Rx8 R3. The Z would spank the 8 real bad. But I choose my 8 because its my personal perference.

Lol 9k, Dont pull that young card on me here lol, Yes a $7,000 SC would make it equal to a 370Z, hell they'd cost about the same as well... Performance wise a 370Z will kill a NA RX-8... but its a different story with a FI RX-8. Why wouldnt the SC 8 be the equal to a 370Z? They both would ~ have the same hp at the wheels, and if the Z had more hp the 8 would make it up with less weight and better handling. /end thread jack

You are showing your age bro. You love your car so you will try and defend it to the death. I get it
Buy a new R3, throw $10,000.00 at it.
Buy a new 370, throw $10,000.00 at it.
Then have Sabine Schmidt take them both around the ring. Guess which car will have the fastest lap times?

My only real comment - I also had no idea the 370 was so much BIGGER than the 8!!! Those photos are really crazy!
I wont get into this very old argument, also because the 370 is the new version....its a far better car by the numbers. The 350 would have been a better comparison. And even there.... People like the 8 because it has an extraordinarily good feel, and that alone is a selling point. It also has the very unique rotary scream, which i think is also worth every penny. Aside from that....its a hard sell.

When 350Z was compared with RX-8, I would prefer the 8 but when a 370Z comes in the picture, there is no way I would choose the 8 unless I really needed a 4 seater. The 370Z is just way better and should be considering the higher price, the Z's power overshadows the 8's handling and handling is very subjective matter as well.
