the RS*R springs are quite a good fit on the 8. I like the drop it gives with the autobahn kit. I have been looking for a kit and have basically settled on it. First i want to lower my 8 and the RS*R is what i'm looking for. Great thread and images to get a good look at the placements.

Hey, this question has probably been answered, however, how quickly do lowered springs run through on OEM struts?

Knowing the answer to that is almost impossible. Do they run through OEM struts? yes, is it due to compressing the strut past OEM specs at its idle setting, yes.

it can blow out today, it can blow out in 2 years, it can blow out in 10, really depends on the condition of your struts, the roads that you drive on, the driving habits that you practice, etc etc.

So there is no average time to destroy? Because I know our Audi struts can last forever with lowering springs...But apparently Mazda ones are very weak.

Mazda shocks are actually really good and made by a reputable company. I think when you hear the horror stories of members blowing out their shocks with aftermarket springs its because they are trying to lower the car 2 inches with nothing but springs and then go on insane canyon runs on rough roads. I dont know of a solid average number.
