There's quite a few people on this forum alone who have installed them in their car.
The concept car is interesting because it came from mazda, not from the aftermarket. This one has been around for quite a while though.

Correction! Rotormaster and the Mazda RX8 turbo project are separate entities.
The MAZDA RX8 turbo project is headed up by Allan Horsley who has masterminded the RX7s to compete in a 24 hours race around the famous Bathurst Road circuit. The RX7s are legends as they have won that race 4 times consecutively. Their main rivals were the Porsche 911RS. The funny thing is... when Allan Horsley made special editions for the RX7s... MAZDA Australia also gaves the go ahead to produce limited editions. They were known locally as RX7 SP or Bathurst Edition.
Allan Horsley also did the MX-5 SP down here. Again Mazda Australia made limited numbers locally. It had more power compared to the factory Mazda MX-5 turbo version.
Mazda RX8 turbo???? Hmmm....
