Stll doesn't make much sense. I cannot imagine many people would take the time to discuss that they think a car is not that good looking.
I assumed you were talking about me since as far as I can remember I am the only one who said it isn't all that pretty in this thread and doesn't own an 8 at the moment.
The 8 doesn't have enough power for me, true, but, I'm spoiled. I can look past that for what else it offers. As a daily driver, I do, and always have, thought it is a great compromise. That and I will be co-driving a 1998 corvette race car next year :D

Did any of you buy the RX8 just because it looks nice? If not then it doesn't make the pretty list.

Based on J.D. Power polling, the following are the top 10 vehicles purchased strictly for appearance sake or, according to Denove, because their buyers said, “I like the way that looks and don’t care about anything else.”

Bah, they have no taste.
Among many of my artist colleges, they've all commented that the RX-8 looks beautiful.
Some people wouldn't know beauty if it slapped them in the face.
I was going to either purchase the 350z or the RX-8, and picked the 8 cause it looked better.

Bah, your artist freinds can kiss my ***. I have some arrogant freinds too and some of them agree with me. It ain't that good looking in my, and others opinion. It's not ugly, but it's not beautiful.

I bet your arrogant friends are the type that have to read the description next to the painting to understand or get anything from a work of art.

Yeah, my freinds are hired and paid too. I'm sure many do the same stuff as yours. Bottom line, who cares if an "artist" likes the way the car looks. Is that supposed to be some sort of gospel. It's nonsense, and a **** poor argument.

I'm not saying your opinion is discredited, but to me it's more valuable if a professional artist likes the look of an 8 than just some un-creative person who chances are, doesn't even know a good piece of art if it hit him in the face.
it's kinda like, I'd respect the opinion about the way something looks more if it was coming from Beethoven, or Van Gogh, than Arnold Schwarzenegger, or Mr. Bush.
Dismissing it as nonsense only further proves my point.
"I'm sure many do the same stuff as yours."
care to elaborate on that?

He was creative, imaginative, and broad-minded.
Note that you conveniently left out "chances are" I'm not deeming that I know for certain you can't recognize good art, because I don't even know you, I was simply making the assumption that there's a possibility you can't because you seem to have trouble recognizing the value of an artists opinion when it comes to aesthetics.
Not only do you seem to have trouble recognizing my point, but you felt the need to arrogantly discredit my colleagues opinions just because they don't resemble your own.
I also find your motives here questionable considering you don't currently own an RX-8.
Don't like the look? Hey, that's fine with me, but when you start spouting that people should kiss your *** and that their talking nonsense because they disagree with you opinion, I'll be here to put you in your place.
"Arnie is an artist. Actors are artists. Haven't you seen Total Recall. Pure brilliance..."
I think pumping Iron is his best to date...

I don't discredit anyones opinion, just value some more than others.

So, I'll re-phrase, "Some people" doesn't imply "all people who dislike the 8" I'm sure there's some bad *** artists out there that dislike the looks of the 8.
and not having "Taste" well, that's just my opinion.

and Please tell me you test drove an 8 before you decided to buy one.
