Rotary News - Updated Rumors and Lies for May 2007
Doh!
And in 2010 the new rotary actually has a crossfire V6 in it, but the whole engine is mounted on an eccentric shaft and rotated as you drive. This maintains the rotary aspect of the car.

I have to agree with him on this.
Subaru has never produced a FWD, and unlike most other AWD vehicles out there (which are converted from FWD platforms) the Subaru driveline layout has much more resemblance to a RWD system, with the engine rotating longitudinally, not transversely.
The STi can put 60% of its power to the rear, which may not sound like much, but its enough to power oversteer, something NO FWD car has ever done.

NO, subaru has allways made FWD cars it still does, there not for sale in the US but the base models for most of theyr cars are FWD including the Impresa
Intresting, coming from you I know is a good source, will the new rotary be ready for 2009 or will we be without a rotary car for 2 years?

It is MNAO which orders stock from Mazda Motors Japan, and its not unusual for Mazda to make minor changes to model line ups, it may only be 5-10 subtle changes or upgrades..
When is the "technical" date start for production of MY 2008 cars?...
I still think we may see some upgrades on the RX-8 at the October Tokyo MS, and I have been saying this All year..even though a Canadian member posted 2008 details with no changes...not even color.
