PTP Turbo

http://www.tuningmotorsports.com/pro...age=1&featured

I know you guys have discussed turbo rx8's before. All I want to know is if anyone has any knowledge on this turbo kit. I've been waiting for it to come out for about a year now. It is said to produce about 360 whp. Car and driver mag had an aticle about it a couple weeks ago. Is anyone running this setup in thier car. Any knowledge is helpful. Thanks

Also what is a decent price to sell my stock rims and new tires. I just got new rims and tires and have had some inquires about my stock ones. Has anyone sold theirs. What have they been going for?

About your turbo ?... i want the same turbo and all i can find is this:

http://www.tuningmotorsports.com/home.php
and scroll to the bottom for the kit.... which looks like its out.

As for the wheels ?... if they are not scratched and decent tread on the potenzas or similar tires and with tpms i would say 600 plus shipping is a good price... without tpms i would subtract about 100 bucks.

I've actually gone over there and checked it out. The quality of the kit is nice, the price is somewhat high. I did not like the fact that you either used the HKS locked to them, or you supply your own EMS and allow them to tune.

That's my 5 cents...

I'm interested in Mazsport as well...are you looking at the Type 1 or 2 or 3? Reasons? I'm trying to get info on everything to make a decision, thanks! It's my first turbo purchase.

I'm probably going with the type 2 mainly because I want minimal lag and I would also not like people to know its turbo'd just sitting there so the liquid to air intercooler would not be as obvious

I was just looking at the Mazsport setup. I like what I saw. I'm doubting the power or anything, but just wondering if they've posted any dyno sheets any where or does anyone know someone who has the setup? We're coming into winter where I live and I'm just trying to make a decision on if I should Turbo my car for next year or spend money on other upgrades.

No. The kit puts out 360 bhp, not 360whp.

360bhp is more like 305whp. The test car had 390bhp, or around 330whp. That's about where the Mazsport kit is right now. Considering the lack of support for the PTP kit, and the work by Scott and Mantis, the Mazsport kit is a much better option.

Either way it's nice to see some coverage and test numbers. Shaving a second off the quarter mile time, adding 15 mph to the trap speed, and ~1.5 seconds off the 0-60 time is pretty impressive.
