still a good read .

is there any way you can make the lettering larger so it can be easier to read though?

Zinio only has two modes of zoom, either really small text or big ones, would require me to photoshop the whole piece together. ~_~

will try to get that done later.

this issue is pretty sweet, been anticipating a review of the CX7 AND acura's RDX. both turbocharged SUVs. The ptp turbo 8 was a nice read but man... look at the mpg!!! 13!!! not surprising since some of us get that in NA form. hahaha.

Actually this is a lot better than I thought. I suspect that C&D were driving with the boost on almost all the time during their test.

good read, great for ptp, but i find the # strange at 390 hp this car should be in the 12.9 13 second 1/4 mile

Read the entire article -- C&D says the same thing.

With that trap speed and time I don't see how this car can be much over 300whp. How do you get to 390hp considering that?

How much TQ. Maybe it has a low TQ and it is 390 to the flywheel

..290 lb-ft at 5100rpm.

this is impressive, i just don't think it's making that 390 at the crank. i'd say it's making about 350.

i still like it though.

correction to dragula, the rx-8 doesn't have 30% drivetrain loss... it has just always been overrated.

If you read the article, they say that they figure there were 375hp answering the call on test day, not 390... Still pretty impressive gains for an aftermarket setup with good driveability.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but why does the engine computer cost almost half again as much as the rest of the turbo installation?? Is that normal for these kinds of things?

You can't correct jokes.

I can't read that text, but I think 390bhp is optimistic with those times. It's nice to see some decent power gains though.

Even if it's only 360hp, that's still a 50% gain in hp, all with what they characterize as good driveability. I'd call that way better than "decent".

Too bad it's 7 large for the turbo and computer alone, never mind the other mods.

pretty much unless you get one with kit. but they are for tuning once you install our kit. a stand alone pretty much runs 1.5k+

digital subscription takes maybe a few minutes at most... us postal service is 7-8 business days.

PTP detuned the kit to make 330whp to protect the engine during more harsh testing. the 390 is an estimated bhp number.

After talking with Jon at PTP traction was definately an issue. I have riden in the car several times and with a 109 trap speed with a good launch it will easily run in the 12's.

The article even says they gave up some time during the touchy launch.
