I don't get it zoom.

I already have a 4 year/50k mile warranty.

So, Mazda is only going to extend the warranty by one year and 10,000 miles?

Unacceptable IMO.

If an extended powertrain warranty to 5 years/60K miles is unacceptable, what do you feel is more appropriate? Some free servicing? That'd ba good one to add.

the only question is did the replacement you paid for fall within the boundries of this extended warranty??

When Toyota had a problem with their 3.0 liter engines (sludge), they gave all owners a 100,000 mile warranty on the engine.

THAT'S customer service/white glove treatment.

This 10k mile warranty extension is crap.

lol......they will look at the reciept along with milage and date of repair to make sure your within the limits computer printed invoices are better than hand written ones in this case

You Canadians need to learn how to raise your voices.

And it's pronounced [prah-cessed] cheddar cheese, not [pro-cessed] cheddar cheese.

I don't need to raise my voice, my RX-8 runs very well.Regarding the reference above-----
1.I have never seen a failed RX-8 starter, all the original starters changed at our dealership were changed because they were not big enough to do the job.

2.What's all this stuff about oil leaks?

I understand that a recall is coming, but the information coming out of MNOA so far makes no sense to me.
My first inclination is that the management of MNOA is totally incompetent and should be fired.

Just out of curiousity I would be interested to know vacuum readings on peoples engines.
Mine are:
cold idle,1500rpm, -65kpa
hot idle,820rpm, -59 kpa
shut throttle,3500rpm, -83kpa all measured using Greddy E-01,engine side of throttle body.

2 rotor - I was joking about the Canadian thing.

I agree with you guys about the oil leak issue. Weird.

Haha .. I'm curious should I play 'el stupido or go in there with a cocky smirk... hmm..nah.. I'll play calm cool and smarter than them lol..
"Yeah can you guys see if you have this part in stock -:slips them the piece of paper with the part number zoom44 provided:-".

Its nice with the extended warrenty atleast right now since we dont know the exact % of engines this will actually effect. If its greater than 10% then we should definatly get it extended to 100k for insurance (and to make Expo happy!). But we'll have to wait and see, till then gonna practice my Neslon laugh impression hehehe..
