Well at this point in time I can say that I heard from a very reliable source that.
One of the new (2) RX-8's running around the USA, has an engine cover lock on it.

No, not in the past 2-3 days. They've been on the road. One I know for sure. Just don't know which one.
Yes and no.
The problem I have is that a limited number of people know about where the cars are at a given time and day. And if I specify where they are and where they're going to be,, well I get in trouble and they get in trouble and someone else gets in trouble and so on and so on.
I don't want to seem like a butt head, but give me some more time and let the cars move and I can fill you all in more. I do have operatives in all these locals so they are going to be feeding me more and more info all the time.
I do know the two will be in the same city tomorrow and be there for a "couple" of days.
My friend is looking out for them.

It has strakes in front of the oil cooler vents. Larger opening in the grille. More of a "V" on the bottom. It has different taillights. It has different head lights. And some interior gauge variances.
And yes that is a marker on a vent on the front fender. The rear seems to be a continuous piece, no more black. Slightly higher on the bottom and more Mazdaspeeed looking.

What we need you to do is get under that engine cover! Could it be possible that as a possible 09 option they throw a turbo in there? 
Save the 16x for the next gen.. but atleast give those that want more power an option

I heard that Mazda Japan techs have 3 new model RX-8's in Australia for Hot Climate and dust evaluation which they do here quite regularly.
Usually do the Port Augusta, Whyalla to Coober Pedy run (Opal Mining Town), it has many sealed and unsealed roads along with the kangaroos and no media.
