Doubt it, that's clearly a facelifted car and they're probably testing it with the drivetrain that will come with it. I'll be shocked if we see the 16x prior to a fully new model.

you're probably right. although, i do like the darker tails. they really should have done that like they did with the fd's taillights.

i'll be very dissappointed if they just facelift the car for the 16x
I want a new RX with that engine, otherwise I will prob. be looking into the next gen. Nissan Z or that new Toyota which may or may not be the Supra

Not a whole lot of changes, but still...the part in the article addressing the sensor hooked to the exhaust seems intersting.

You guys need to calm down.
This spy shot tells us nothing other than they are probably testing new engine equipment and the front end will get a visual refresh. It'll still be built around the same platform hence the old sheetmetal.... for now.

Looks like they swiped the wheels off the 40th anniversary RX-8.
Is that really a blinker???
I might have to start taking side streets to the office since it is DOWN the street from Mazda's R&D facility.

i was thinking, all the other RX models have been around for about 4 years befroe a new model comes out. why is mazda going to face lift the 8 if this will be its 6th year in production (a final year). Maybe its not a final year or if it is that means a new RX with a new engine will be out soon?
