So I was looking at the grill on the new 2009 AT today and noticed that it has a lot more open area in it. Unlike the current grill which just has the lower section opened up. This one has almost the whole thing opened up. I will get a pic tomorrow to show you what I am talking about. Didn't have my camera today. Must have decided to do that when the engineers came over and spent three days with mine because of the over heating issues I was having. Haha.
Oh and by the way, I'm told I can finally post the pics that I took.

I've always thought the new grill looks like it would let in alot more air.

Same low torque engine Mazda ?? We need a factory Supercharger Mazda. Owned a 2005 and 2007 need some excitement (power)to buy a 2009. Vehicle takes anything in cornering on the track but I wave goodbye to everthing on the long straights.

 

No Taj, I didn't buy a 2009 RX-8. I just took some pictures of it. It's not available to the public yet. I have access to one and snapped some pics.
If anybody would ike any particular pics let me know and I will see what I can do for you. When I asked Mazda when I could put these back up they said go ahead. Mazda called it "Free advertising".

Is it the same engine as the 2008??

 

No. It has 2 new oil injectors in the rotor housings and the oil pan is a new design and oil filter location are different. Same engine and HP basically

Thanks for the dissappointing information, the car is really all there except for the Hp and low end torque. I buy every two years so aftermarket SC or turbos void the warranty.

 

Wait till 2010 or 2011.

So I wander if these prettier HVAC ***** will fit the previous RX-8's. Looks like they would just based on this pic. Mine are getting kind of ratty and I like the polished aluminum-like plastic ones.

 

Yep I still want to know what was in the trunk? A case of synthetic oil or something?
