2009 RX-8 AT new oil pan and filter pics
Here ya go,,,
As you can see there is a cover over the oil pan now. And the oil pan is not a pan so much as a cover over the new aluminum housing design. And the oil filter is under the cover and in the front left corner of the engine underneath.
The oil pan pic is from the right side looking towards the left side front of the car is on the right side of the pic.

Hey Easy, I think that Mazda North America should 'hire' you as their new engine product tester. Basically, if their product can stand up to 6 months of "Easy" driving, it can stand up to ANYTHING

He test drove it and had a bout of sluggishness on acceleration above 4000 rpm, but no CEL's.
I've never had a CEL in either RX-8 I've owned in three years. Makes me think the lights are burned out.
