will not start

Angry will not start

Okay - a woman needs help. My RX 8 will not start. When I try to start the lights, radio, interior lights all come on. I tried jumping it and it still will not start. Help! Please

What miles on it ?
Does the engine turn over or does it just go 'click' ?

It turns over. It has 55,000.

Do you know and have you tried the deflood proceedure ?

I am sure it can be a number of things.

Do you know and have you tried the deflood proceedure ? No and dont know how to do that. Thank you.

do you have an owners manual ? If so have a look through it for the deflood proceedure . Try that first and get back to us if it does not work . If cranking speed is slow have another battery hooked up when you do it .

If cranking speed is still slow with another battery hooked up - see the thread i posted above to compare yours to


when were the spark plugs last replaced ?

The basic deflood procedure is in the Quick Tips booklet, under "Starting tips." If that doesn't work, there are more elaborate descriptions on this site. The elaborate procedure varies based on whether the car has had the 4206f reflash.
