well as some of you may know, my clutch was squeaky and earlier today i heard a pop now my clutch pedal seems a bit off and it wont fully pop back up after i press the clutch to change gears. i was wondering if i get a shop to weld it, would they know where to weld? [i dont even know]

i looked at the clutch pedal assembly but i cant see anything out of the ordinary. so does anybody have a diagram or a photograph of where to weld and add extra support welds? also for those of you who have had this [safety] issue, how long did the whole process take? this is my only form of transportation so i cant have the car overnight at the shop..

also to those of you who WILL respond [SEARCH] the answer is i did, i know all about the problem the only thing i did not find was where exactly these welds are. everyone talks about how they just took the whole assembly off and welded them or took it to a shop but they did not have the answers i was looking for... such as
-where to weld
-how long did it take
-how much it was

I've tried calling around my area too, but being that it is a Sunday, no one seems to be open. i would rather be prepared than just doing everything the next day... since this is my only my only car i need this fixed asap.

FWIW, for things like this (details of how to actually fix something) it's more productive to look at one of the index posts stickied at the top of the DIY forum. A general search (like you did) may turn up some specific info, but buried among many tales of woe
