I have a 2006 RX-8, 6 speed auto, and I believe it has the original starter still on it. The engine has about 104k miles and nothing is wrong with it, it doesn't have any cold/hot start issues, but I just wanted to upgrade. Where can I find the new N3Z1 2kw starter for less than the dealership charges?

 

an 06 should have the upgraded starter...

Yeah that's what I've read, that mine should have the upgraded starter, but it sure doesn't sound like it when it cranks. I've checked that site out and I couldn't find anything.
