Hello. Great forum. Just picked up my new Black GT this morning. So far, have only added the front and rear Chrome Rotary grille pieces.

Already thinking about what next...

(I also own a Honda VTX motorcycle, and I fear the accessory addiction with my black bike is gonna happen with this car?)

What is your favourite add on/ accessory so far?

Again, I joined the forum a couple of days ago, and have been enjoying all the information. Helped me decide to purchase my GT this week. Thanks for letting my lurk up until this point!!

Velocity, that was your first? Very cool. All I did was tint and clear corners. More to come.

 

I changed all the light bulbs first
then pedals, grill, clear winkers, eibach springs, jic exhaust, k&n intake, 2 12 inch JL subs

rims are next

 

First thing was tint as I live in Texas. Then added rotary accents, fender strakes & clear corners at same time.

First mod to the car was the mazda mp3 player.

 

first mod was subwoofers and amp, then added clear corners.

 

ClearBra, Windows Tinted, Clear Corners, 5 coats of Zaino, and Polished Wheels in the first week, followed by a bunch of stuff later (took delivery July 30th)

 

Mud-bog tires....they look pretty cool too.

I just bought my Black GT yesterday. Only have the Rotary Accents front and back for now. Can't believe what is available for this car. Son took some pics of the car being delivered and is supposed to send them along to me tonight. Will try to figure out how to post some of them soon. Have spent the last week on this forum, before and after purchase. Unbelieveable amount of knowledge available about this car!

Well, here in central NJ, the first thing to add is Deer whistles, and Club!

 

1. Is Zaino an add-on? You bet! I went with the Total Protection Show Car Kit for $85. See Polak's thread showing off Zaino results.

2. 225/50HR-17 Pirelli Winter 210 SnowSport tires on 17x7.5 ASA LW5 Bright Sat rims from TireRack.com: $1492.

3. Clear corners from JDM Mazda, off eBay: $76 delivered. See msrecant's
amazing install thread.

4. Strakes from Rosenthall Mazda, off eBay $168 delivered (good deal!). See my weak attempt to duplicate msrecant's amzaing install thread here.

 

All external lamps except the xenons, high beams and fog lights. Used chromed lamps for the turn signals and reverse lights, red LED tail/brake lamps, white LED front running lamps and amber LED lamps for the clear corners. Then chromed lights for the map lamps, however the ammount of light coming out is only good when it's practically pitch black in this case. But, when you are driving down the highway at night and it is dark, these make perfect cabin lights just putting out just enough light to see well but not distract from driving. I did not change my license plate light...yet, That will be for all to see on my next mod thread.

I already said clear corners, then there was front and rear splash guards. I also added door edge guards which I like since I have some passengers who aren't as careful with operning the passenger door next to my brick home.

My greatest mod so far is in my avatar which is what is under our names, my third brake light logo mod. It's still the brightest of any of the mods I have seen anyone do whether it is by stickers or by a vinyl insert as I have seen recently on e bay. Of course, this is just my opinion, you judge for yourself.

Future mods? Will eventually go for strakes, when they are affordable for what they are or I can manufacture a decent looking pair of my own and would like to have some sort of front lip spoiler, perhaps. Also, Canzoomer ECU mod is definately a future plan as well as a cat back exhaust, eventually.

By next winter, SNOW TIRES asnd winter rims.
