What do all those letters mean?
I just bought an 8, and will take delivery next saturday. I've read all the postings about flash, PCM, and ECU. What do they stand for? Is it the software that's in an electronic control unit? Is there a way to know what version the car has? Can it be called up on th Nav unit?

The PCM is the Power Control Module, which is dealer-speak for ECU, or Electronic Control Unit. They are one and the same. That is the computer that takes all of the sensor data and then controls the vehicle - everything from air/fuel mixture, throttle, ABS, Dynamic Stability Control, Traction Crontrol System, speedometer, tachometer, milk/cereal ratio, etc....
