Hopefully you don't have emissions then - enjoy spitting flames and waking up the neighborhood! XD

You'll probably get a CEL, I get them with mine.
Clear it with the Torque app on my Android phone.

It's hot out!.

Had a chance to put my J&B weld radiator fix to the test today. It was 96 degrees in Colorado today and i drove with the a/c on doing 75 mph on the free way for a 40 mile round trip and no leaks. This just gives me time to run around and secure the right radiator for me.I seem to be leaning towards a two row aluminum radiator and a seperate trans oil cooler.

It varies. At first it was a few weeks, then after a while it was every few days, now it's back to every couple of weeks.

Drove from Boise to Eugene last Tuesday for work, ended up extending up to Portland for the weekend to see some friends and then back to Boise last night.

The US-20 route to Eugene was a fantastic drive, especially the curvy part right after you get onto the southbound 126 with all the tree canopies floating over the road--just beautiful. Couldn't bring myself to hold back there.

Started install of red LEDs in the interior including courtesy lights, map lights, rear dome light, glove box light, and trunk light. Ran into some problems with fitment for the map lights so I'm waiting on some help from the seller.

What type do you have? If it's the ones listed as "samsung" on ebay then the really long lens on the front just snaps off. The beam is wider without them anyway.

I bought them from a guy in the PurelyRX8 group who runs a small business called Auto Cree.Ations. They have copper-colored tips, so I'm not sure if those are the ones you're talking about.

I cleaned the maf sensor... I always thought it was something that doesn't need cleaning until there's a problem.. But holy hell significant power gains.

Ordering painted eyelids from GoodBox tomorrow. Got smaller LEDs for the maplights coming Monday or Tuesday, and am picking up a headlight restoration kit sometime this week. It's nice to have some spending money again.

Installed rear sway bar (Progress Miata set), changed setting on front sway bar, lowered it 1/8", installed street brakes and wheels, and drove it for the first time in 5 weeks.

Oil change at 63400 - new drain plug

Got Blue up on the ramps and drained the oil. Inspected the drain plug and decided that 11+ years of torquing was enough on it. Got a new one at Napa for ~$4.50.
Royal Purple 10-2876 Extended Life Oil Filter and 5W-30 Penzoil "dino" oil. Always have to take extra time to clean up the oil mess left by taking off the filter.

What would you search for on eBay? I've been wanting a new exhaust that sounds nice and low but don't wanna drop $800+ on one lol

I just stuff some rags around/underneath the filter mount and poke a hole in the top of the canister with a long screwdriver so it drains out. pull the rags out when you've installed the new one and be sure you don't pinch the fabric when you're screwing it in :-)

Do you use crush washers on the drain plug?
I use a new one every time.

Great minds think alike. Though I'm going to relocate that bitch someday!

Last night I finally got the Ron Davis (aka MAZDASPEED) radiator in.
Tonight is LRB Speed aluminum undertray and lots of foam and aluminum tape to seal up the radiator shroud tight.
All that mothertrucking air is going through that radiator bling!

Still can't figure out where the oil covering the front/bottom of the engine is coming from. Front main seal is dry. OMP appears dry though I may do that gasket just because I can. Pan doesn't appear to be the source but I have a Greddy to replace it anyway.

You must use a crush washer. You should use a new one every time. I don't.

Yeah, mine too.
I think it's runoff from the filter, but I'd love to know for sure.
It's not actually leaking onto the pavement, so that's why I think it's runoff.
Post it if you find out what it is please.

Installed the fans on low mod with a stealth switch to help me combat the Texas summer heat.
