Got a compression test this weekend:

@ 30k miles

Rotor 1: 10, 9.9, 10 @ 330 RPM
Rotor 2: 9.7, 9.8, 9.7 @ 328 RPM

Looks like my engine is pretty healthy. I wish I would have gotten a test done brand new so I could track any changes. I will probably get another one at 50-60k miles.

Did it feel more ported, too? Or were you slacking? Took my BHR midpipe off for the 3rd time in a week to take it to the parts store and find some new gaskets. It doesn't leak now.

ididnt do this today, but on saturday.
Added 2" of 1x1 AC Conditioner closed cell foam strips arounf my BHR Radiator. Then took it for a 100 mile test drive to the Scottsdale Pavilions.

At 107 deg ambient air temps, i was seeing 205 deg coolant temps in stop-n-go traffic. Then 198 deg temps dropping down to 190 deg @ 75 mph on the freeway.

50 miles driven with the Heater on and the other 50 with the Heater off.
The BHR Radiator has only been installed Since October of 2007.

I was going to tinker with the EPS harness and clean the connectors, however, I ended up relocating the front license plate with a bracket out of Home Depot stuff... It got dark so I installed it with haste, just going to straighten it up and do the EPS in the morning.

maybe im the only one who doesnt like it in that spot... eh whatever. old news, but i made all this crap in the past month.. Kind of feels like i need a thread to post all of my custom fab stuff.

polished my strut bar. guide can be found here: https://www.rx8club.com/do-yourself-...ut-bar-235398/

Also made a custom Polycarbonate intake tray to replace the ugly oem one that is impossible to clean. I wanted to see more of the fun stuff under the tray, but i also wanted to keep intake temps down. compromised. Took a 2 hour drive to south nj a few days ago, 1 hour cruising at 85 and no signs of it coming close to melting. EDIT: this was a prototype to see if it would work/not melt. My next version will use bigger sheets of polycarbonate and less brackets holding everything together. I used smaller sheets to save money incase it did melt or didnt work.

Also made a custom tow hook license plate bracket.

120k miles on car and motor, still love it. looking to see how everyone else deals with the heat.
