Pretty much covered above. If you are looking at a used 8 with 50+ expect to need new coils, plugs, and wires, and likely a clutch. Check the service records to see that the TSBs have been addressed or you'll need more work as well.

The RX8 isn't a "sensible" or "practical" car. I think of it like my wife. You have to love it to be with it. Lots of maintenance but if you treat her right she puts out.

MPG? forget it, gets the same as my 5.4L truck

Comfortable? Hell yea if your not fat

Fun? Most fun you can have on 4 wheels under 20k

Get looks everywhere you go, its a unique car, and I LOVE IT!!!

PS. Reliability is the same in any car. Its only as reliable as you are to it
