To wait or not to wait..
Im torn! I really love the rx8 in its current beauty but I cant get myself to buy one knowing that it will change in the next year (or maybe 2).
just some other thoughts: currently I can get a GT package rx8 for 28K.. if the new one comes out i doubt such a great deal will be available on the new one. but on the flip side it might have many improvements
basically i wanna know if anyone knows when the new 8 is going to come out and any concept pictures / speculations on the engine and design. and of course if pricing is going to change.

Knowing that there is a facelift coming out next year, why not use that to your advantage now? Why not negotiate the price down to $22k or so?
When I bought mine in 2004, Mazda were more than willing to drop that much off the price ... why not now?

i can probably wait another year before purchasing a car (i have a motorcycle for commute), but im going to need a car sooner or later and if waiting 2 years might be too long a wait for me. anyone know if the rx8 is going to change in 2008 (when 2009 models come out) or later

On a new GT, yeah ok... The cars cost much more then that, They've never had a rebate big enough.

You could get 8k off MSRP without even having to negotiate much... 22k was is a little low for a GT back then, but not by a whole lot. I don't know what the average deal is now, but 28k doesn't seem like anything special.

Well, this is a good idea ... but why wait a year for it?
