Uni-blade wiper blades?

Like they have in German cars nowadays... anything like that for the RX-8? Where would I find them (online, preferably)? And what are the sizes?

Thanks all

any major auto parts store should have them now; 20" driver side, 19" passenger side, IIRC.

I got the bosch excel's on my 8 they are a Uni-blade, by far worth the extra money. I have'nt had to change them for like 2 yrs. now and they are so much quieter than the other ones. They hug to your windshield, it's awesome!

Nice, I need new wipers...and I haven't found any that last, so this is great timing for the thread (for me, anyways!)

Call me ignorant, but what makes a uni-blade unique? I thought he was talking abotu a conversion to a double hinged single wiper blade like European makers are working towards.

instead of the 6 points on our OE blades, the uni-blade is actually 1 bowed piece of plastic. so you get a more even distribution of pressure for a better clear. kind of hard to describe...but have you seen the rain-x commercial? same thing.

So liek the opposite of the "triple edges" from years ago with the MONSTER ridges? More like the back of a window cleaners squeegee?

I bought the Bosch Icons at $20 a pop price at AutoZone. Overpriced? Maybe. They have lasted well. They are nice in the winter: nowhere for ice to get stuck in. Bosch ones have a built-in spoiler. Plus they look nice.

Thanks for the link, just ordered a pair. Only about $5 more (after shipping) than what Checker wants for much cheaper looking blades.

I love you guys. Advance Auto Parts has 25% off all wiper blades right now. You can get the Bosch Icons in-store for $14.91 and $13.48 for the 20" and 18", respectively.

Incidentally, that's a much better savings than their other sale of $5 off in-store pick-up (sale prices don't show up when you place the order online).
