The "laggy" sensation that you mentioned is all that i am talking about, I never said that FI isn't faster, even at low revs, because obviously it is faster, no one can deny that, not even me.

With the tuning tools we have today we can also adjust the throttle maps . I found with the turbo that I was getting too much of an on-off feeling from the throttle making the car difficult to handle in a windy road for example where you are constantly on and off the throttle . Going into full boost half way around a corner can be pretty darn scary if you are not used to it .

I now have my throttle maps tuned such that i can dial in a very gradual increase in boost as i wish . So i dial in the exact amout of power i desire and there is not this lag sensation you talk about.
Something that really blew me away when I fitted the turbo was the throttle response at very light loads IE manifold still in vacuum . Because the area behind the throttle plate is always in positive pressure there is an instant source of power there always available . That instant throttle response is so superior to an NA car it is a delight in itself.

some day...

i'm not much of a baller so my money is spent on the wife and kids for now. hopefully that day of spending on FI comes sooner rather than later.
