Turbo in RX8? Handling?

I hear the RX8 will do 0-60 in about 6.4 seconds. or something like that. what is the 0-60 time if u put a nice turbo in it. you can put a turbo in it. right? does it drastically improve 0-60 time? or 1/4 mile time?

also i saw the rx8 on top gear and they said its easy to drive. well is it a good handling car? I see that you can power slide and drift it, but can you go around corners smoothly like a BMW m3. also if anyone can give me info on reliablity and when do you start to have problems with it and what the problems are. I want to buy a car and take it to the autocross and at this autocross there are a bunch of Beemers. so i want to make the right decision to see if i should buy the rx8. you think it can keep up with a bmw m3 e36 at an autocross and get good times in??

thanks for all your help.

Mike.

Thats where the RX8 shines. Handling on the RX8 owns a LOT of cars. If you get the RX8 for handling you wont be disappointed.

search around for issues on reliability. The RX-8 is generally a reliable car, much more reliable than the previous gen RX-7, with a small percentage having power loss problems in hot weather conditions and transmission problems.

The RX-8 will definitely keep with an E36 M3 and many other cars in autocross. Look at B-stock results where 8s usually come out on top. The handling is definitely very smooth, well balanced and forgiving at the limits, perfect qualities for autocross. Just as Mr. Clarkson says, "this is the easiest car to drive fast, that I've ever driven"

Just imagine your car with double the torque and an additional 150 whp.

With the Cobb AccessPort, my car feels N/A with simply 100 extra HP.

With the interceptor-x and emanage blue the transition into boost was not smooth at all.

+1

There car does fine as is. A few tweaks like better brake pads, sway bars, spring/shocks, and proper allignment can help you get around the course even faster if you choose the proper components. Autox rewards driver skill, not horse power.

Besides that, adding a turbo would put you in another class with some beastly cars and you'ld be even worse off than if you were all stock in B Stock class.
