Looks nice - glad you finally managed to get your hands on it! Good luck with driving it tomorrow. You may regret your decision for a bit, but once you get it down, you'll be wondering how you drove automatic for so long! :D

Drivable
I can now call myself a real driver. :D For driving the manual rx-8 was just a piece of cake. CAKEE!!!!! I can now say that learning how to drive a bicycle was alot harder then this. I don't know why i didnt do it sooner, what was I so nervous about. It took me only 1 minute (about 3 tries) to get it going in first gear, 2 tries to do the reverse, and got shifting down in the first try. It only took like 10 minutes to smoothe everything out so I can actually drive on the road. I can't begin to say how much the info that was given has helped me. At one time on the road I even tried what one person suggested, rev to 7K and let the clutch out. NICE!!, Althought I didnt honk the horn, I can save that for later tonight :p . Thanks to all the people of rx8club for responding, helping out, and supporting a noob like myself to learn how to drive this beast. This car is not an ounce the same as the auto, it's like a step up from it, a totally differnent car. So to all the future of RX-8 buyers out there, don't even bother to look at the Auto, go right for the Manual :D And RX8CLUB ROCKS!!!!!!!!

Once you get some practice with the standard shifting, it'll be time to move on to double-clutching and heel-toeing. That's when you start getting involved in the hard stuff.
I don't yet own an RX-8, so perhaps someone else can chime in here, how well-placed are the pedal for comfortable heel-toeing?
Then you can move on to some of the real fun of an MTX -- the ability to customize the shifting of gears to your taste. Differen't brake/clutch fluids (I'm assuming they share the same reservoir), stainless steel clutch lines, lighter flywheels, stronger clutches, clutches made from varying materials, short-shifters -- the combinations of mods that you could use to suit your driving are huge, and you can really change the entire driving dynamic of the car (particularly with different clutches and flywheels of course).
